If your ESL failed in the unlocked position. You can try this trick to get it started. Don't do this too many times; you may damage your fuse box. This trick does not work on 2013โ€“2014 models.

You finished the job and your car starts! That's great, but now you have an airbag SRS light on, and/or ESP triangle light is on. Watch this video to find out what needs to be done.

The SRS light is on because the airbag connector for the steering wheel airbag was disconnected while you had the main battery connected. That's a no-no. You'll have to erase it with a good scanner. Don't have one? You can rent ours.
